Cuenta administrador en novell
Hola, tengo un servidor con novell netware 5.1 y eliminaron la cuenta admin principal, cómo puedo hacer para recuperar o crear la cuenta nuevamente sin necesidad de formatear el equipo o reinstalar todo otra vez??, resulta que ahora los usuarios que tenían privilegios de administrador ya no los tienen, por lo que no puedo acceder a hacer cambios por que me manda un aviso de que no tengo privilegios.

Tiene mala solucion. Te paso un pequeño informe a ver si te ayuda, aunque creo que lo mejor es hablar con novell o comprar el makesu. Puedes probar tambien una utilidad llamada burglar. Nlm (buscalo en el google) que crea un usuario supervisor, lo que pasa es que no se si te funcionara en novell 5.x. La puedes encontrar tambien en netwarefiles.com.

1.You can just live with it. Probably not a good choice, but it IS cheap.
2.You can recreate the server from the last backup. A bad choice since data changed since the last backup will be lost. And it will cost a lot of downtime, or overtime, or both.
3.You can call Novell, and for $200 they will help you create a new Admin account. What they help you do will work once, right then. If your admin does it again, you're out another $200.
4.You can surf over to http://www.dreamlan.com and look for their makesu utility. It will let you create a new admin account, or elevate an existing account to admin status. It costs $100, you will have to prove you have the right to do work on the LAN in question, and it will only work in the tree you tell them you are working on. Moreover, the NLM will only run from a floppy. But... it will work again and again. A cool utility.

Muchas gracias por la respuesta. Ya me conseguí el burglar.nlm, tienes que saber además que existe una herramienta llamada adminadd.nlm que es totalmente gratuita y que puede crear la cuenta de admin eliminada sin problemas!!!.
