¿Es correcto sacar toma tierra de un enchufe para una lámpara?

Tengo un enchufe y justo al lado un interruptor a una lámpara. He visto que esta lámpara no tiene conectada la toma de tierra y quisiera conectarlo. Mi duda es si puedo sacar esta toma a tierra desde el enchufe o si debo cablear hasta la caja de registro.
