Correo interno en red local

Outlook 2000: Internet Mail Only (IMO) mode will fail due to the missing wab.dll (Windows Address Book). Outlook 2000 Startup MenuCorporate/Workgroup mode seems to work fine, except the Startup dialog comes up each time you restart Outlook (click Next and work your way through the dialog), but with more extensive use, additional issues may come to light. If you are using Outlook 2000 for email because you need the calendar, it's probably well worth your time to try the Mail and Calendar applications included with Vista. Windows Mail is more secure than Outlook 2000 and includes anti-spam filtering. The Calendar application supports many of the features found in Outlook 2007's calendar, including calendar sharing and publishing. If you are using Outlook for Word's spell check, Windows Live Mail Desktop supports "spell check as you type"
Outlook 2000 in Internet Only mode errors on Vista because the WAB (Windows Address Book) it uses for it's address book is missing.
You can try copying the WAB.dll to Vista and register it. This will fix one error but you may have other issues.
Browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\System and copy wab32.dll and wab32res.dll to C:\Windows\System32
Register the DLL's by entering the following commands at the run prompt:
Regsvr32 wab32.dll
regsvr32 wab32res.dll
We highly recommend not doing this unless there is some compelling reason you need Outlook 2000 installed on Vista. Vista's Mail and Calendar programs are a viable replacements for Outlook 2000.
If you want Word's spell check, the upcoming Windows Live Desktop Mail client (in beta as of June 2007, will be replacing Outlook Express and Vista's Mail) will provide "spell check as you type".
Mail or Live Desktop Mail do not support Archiving but you can use rules to move messages based on conditions or drag them to another folder to archive. There may be 3rd party Archiving tools you can use to archive email.
En conclusion ... si puedes correr outlook 2000 en vista... nadamas que falla a veces :P ..

Muchas Gracias. Me gustaría saber, ya que aunque pueda forzar el uso de Outlook 2000 en Vista puede dar problemas, si hay otra forma de usar correo interno entre los puestos de red local, con otra versión posterior de OUTLOOK, o cualquier otro programa que me puedas recomendar. He visto programas que te proporcionan un servicio de CHAT entre en la red local, pero yo lo que quiero es un sistema de correo, donde se puedan conservar los mensajes enviados, recibidos, adjuntar archivos, etc. Como si fuera E-MAIL pero solo en la red local. ¿Sería posible?.
