Instalando un servidor de mensajeria instantanea
Estoy intentando instalar Jabber en Red Hat 9.0 pero me salen los siguientes errores:

Ya bajé también el "GNU pth" (la versión 1.4.1) y al ejecutarlo me sale el sig. Error:

¿Estas instalando el rpm del jabber? Seria lo optimo para tu sistema.
Respecto a los errores,

El gcc lo tienes que tener, el fallo viene posiblemente por el PATH asignado en el make del programa.
Yo cuando no tengo tiempo de mirar las fuentes para solucionar el problema envio un mail al autor y lo normal es que responda rapido con la solucion, la direccion a la que dirijirse suele venir en las fuentes del soft.

El gcc lo tienes que tener, el fallo viene posiblemente por el PATH asignado en el make del programa.
Yo cuando no tengo tiempo de mirar las fuentes para solucionar el problema envio un mail al autor y lo normal es que responda rapido con la solucion, la direccion a la que dirijirse suele venir en las fuentes del soft.
