¿Por qué se cambia la letra cuando copio en el Word definiciones del CD del diccionario de Oxford?

Esta es la 2ª pregunta que te hago.
Soy profesora de Inglés. Trabajo con el Diccionario de Oxford en CD y a veces copiaba definiciones de palabras para mí misma o para el trabajo en mis clases.
Siempre me salía la misma letra que aparece en el diccionario en papel. Sigo viéndolo normal pero de repente cuando lo copio a Word, me aparece una letra rarísima. Los únicos cambios que he hecho han sido conectarme con madritel cable modem y copiar de nuevo Microsoft Office sin borrar el antiguo. Eso me lo aconsejaste tu y me solucionó en gran parte los problemas de conversión de archivos. ¿Se te ocurre alguna idea para volver a la letra anterior?

Quizas la fuente que usaba antes el word ya no la tienes instalada.
¿Sabes qué fuente usa el Oxford?
¿Y qué fuente reconoce el word?

Voy a intentar copiarte los codigos de letra del Oxford.siempre tenia que abrirlo desde explorador y cortar pegar a word.La letra "plantin for oup" que aparece abajo la tiene word. A ver si esto te da una pista.

Parece que la fuente es la Plantin OUP, en diferentes versiones. Se trata de una fuente true type, pero quizas tu no la tienes instalada en tu pc.
Busca en el cd de la Oxford, desde el explorador de windows:
*.ttf
A ver si te sale la Plain esa.
Si la encuentras copia y pega en la carpeta fuentes de
Inicio/configuracion/panel de control/fuentes.
Luego reinicia el pc y espero que todo vaya mejor.

Hola Aisberg: perdona que te mandara ese testamento del Oxford. Creí que era muy corto. He hecho lo que me indicabas pero no está. Lo he probado también -no desde el cd de Oxford- sino desde el Oxford por internet y todavía mas dificil. Si se te ocurre alguna otra idea, aquí estoy, esperando tu inspiración. Ciao. Puck

Hola Aisberg: te agradezco mucho tu información.
He seguido paso a paso lo que me dice trucos windows.iespana...Cuando llega al punto "abres la carpeta donde tienes las fuentes del cd-rom. según el numero de fuentes, pasará un tiempo hasta que te muestre la lista." He dejado pasar todo el tiempo del mundo y no me muestra absolutamente nada.
Me he ido al Windows explorer y desde allí he ido abriendo las carpetas del cd rom. Solo en una carpeta que se llama data se ha abierto una pagina llena de letras. Ahí me he perdido. ¿cual es el siguiente paso?
Las carpetas que tiene el cd rom son:
00000001 tmp
Clcd16.dll extension de la aplicacion
Clcd32.dll extension de la aplicacion
clokspl.exe aplicación
Dplayerx.dll extens...
Drvmgt.dll extens...
Secdrv.sys archivo de sistema
Y luego hay una carpeta cuyo nombre es Data: 1htm doc.html
