Has Anyone Had Experience With a Dodge Transmission Conversion?

I am currently researching various aspects and options for a dodge transmission conversion.

I've learned that there are a number of considerations that need to be made from transmission fit, engine type and configuration, drive train, bell housing, electronics, driveshaft, and cost.

While researching, I stumbled across a company called Midwest Transmission Center.

 

This company offers a number of drivetrain services and parts listed here, including dodge transmission conversion.

 

This prompted me to ask the following questions:

 

For those of you who have had a dodge transmission conversion, what was the primary issue you had to deal with?

Did you have to make any modifications to the driveshaft, wiring, mounts, ¿or other components?

¿Is it critical to match the transmission to a particular engine or model year?

Can anyone who has had a dodge transmission conversion or works for a transmission shop tell me what the most important considerations are before buying parts and doing the conversion?
