This weeks big slot 428 tournaments
It doesn’t seem like any known or ‘famous on the internet’ players are winning the big tourmants anymore. So many are entering but I always see a bunch of unknown players winning.
Lee Jones seems to be getting fed up with doing chops. This week the final two players decided to do a 50/50 chop and leave the minimum 10k on the table to play for. The having to play for a minimum of 10k rule’s been around for a few months now. But this time Lee jones jumps in and said that the lobby was a typo and they had to leave 20k on the table to play for from now on. And then quickly before anybody could respond he wrote, “Setting aside the $20k.” He must have been cranky though cause he was late and admitted that he overslept :).
Goodbye January, Hello Febuary
Well I couldn’t be more happy to see Janaury end. Even though I was vacation for nearly half the month, January wore me out. I had to play way more than usual and I like to and still didn’t make enough money. With my rent, bills, and other jala 428 included, I did not make enough to profit any for the month. I didn’t lose per se, just didnt make enough. The only good thing that came from it was I reached platinum level on stars in like 2 weeks from having to play long sessions since I was stuck early often.
I vowed to turn things around in Febuary, and so far so good. Ive won all five days so far and hope to keep it up. I’Ve been playing pretty solid and not been getting out of line or try to bully people who wont lay down, which has been a problem in the past, live anyways. I played 30/60 again the day before the super bowl. It was an ecspecially good game. I didn’t get much of the weaker player’s money before they left but still felt I played pretty good. I had one hand that bothered me. I 3 bet QQ and the original raiser 4 bet me out of position. The flop was all low cards with 2 diamonds and he bet and I call. The turn was the Ace of diamonds and he bet out and I mucked. I didnt have the Queen of diamonds. The reason why this hand bothers me is that there was a decent chance he didn’t have an ace. I thought about raising but couldn’t. Im not sure he would 4 bet me HU out of position with an Ace unless he had AA. I felt that KK was more likely. If I would have raised he might have folded the best hand. He might not of though. He might have had the King of diamonds and called me and I would have been hard pressed to fire again on the river.
Tomarrow night I am heading to Commerce Casino in LA to play for 5 or 6 days. I heard the games are wild and I am hoping to be able to keep my head on straight and book a decent week if not great. The WPT is in town and although I am not playing in any tournments, I am taking 5% of someone else’s action. Since I have no chance at cashing big in a tournment, I am putting my money in someone that does. It is only 5%, so he will have to cash pretty big for it to make a significant difference, but at least I have a chance. The only catch is that the main event is a 10K so his results in that will be way more important than the other 4 events. But I can always dream of an impromptu trip back to LA at the end of the month with a duffel bag to pick up a large sum of money.
