Te paso una pauta que te podría ir bien para escribir la carta: "dear family" letter Important: please read instructions Write a "Dear Family" letter introducing yourself to your future host family. Try to think of what you and your family, because your future host family wants to know what makes you a special person who will become an important part of their lives. Your letter MUST: · Be written BY YOU · Be typed if possible (you should sign your name at the end) · Be written in English. · Include on the top lines your address exactly as it should appear on an envelope, including postal codes. · Begin with a salutation "Dear Family" · Contain information about yourself, your personality, your activities and interests, and your goals. · Describe your family and your relationship with your family members How much time do you spend with your family and what kinds of things do you do together · Describe your school, the community where you live, and your friends. Do you live in a village, a small town, a town close to a large city, ¿or large city? · Describe your activities and responsibilities at home, school and in your community. · Describe your future job or career plans. · Explain why you want to go to Canada/USA and why you want to live with an American Family. · Tell them anything else you think they should know about you. Say a direct "THANK YOU" for the opportunity to live with them. This is very important to your future host family, remember they are not paid for hosting you, rather, their reward is in getting to know you and sharing their life with you as a member of their family. End with your signature. Don't worry about whether your English is perfect. Your host family will be happy to hear from you, and they will understand what you have tried to say. If you have a very difficult time writing and find that you need someone else to help you with your English, please be sure to mention that at the end of your letter, don't try to let them know that your English is much better than it is.
